FEIJOADA COMPLETA - Brazil's most famous bean dish - black turtle beans slowly simmered with pork knuckles, ribs, rind, tail and sausage, served with farofa, couve (collard greens), and slices of tart orange. Isso! $10.95
FRANGO COM QUIABO - A Brazilian gumbo of chicken stewed with potatoes and okra, served with angù (polenta). $10.95

A few Definitions
Couve - collard greens (at Café Brazil, shredded and sautéed.)
Farofa - a seasoned mixture of cassava meal, onion, bacon & eggs.
Feijao Tropeiro - black beans mixed with cassava meal and laced with bacon, sausage, eggs, garlic and onion: a real treat!
Linguiça - a Portuguese/Brazilian pork sausage. Not spicy, but very flavorful!
Mandioca - the root of the cassava (yucca) plant, used in many ways: ground (as a flour), fried (like potatoes), or stewed (like squash). Always good!
Pirão - after poaching seafood, the cooking liquid is quickly thickened with cassava meal to accompany the dish with an alternate texture and concentrated flavor.
